Executive Programme in Real Estate and ESG Jaime interview

Why do you think that this new program is relevant and unique?

The real estate industry is very competitive and demands more qualified workers capable of understanding the challenges and opportunities in an evolving sector. This program fills this gap by combining two important aspects.

On the one hand, participants will acquire a broader set of skills necessary to understand the different parts of the real estate sector (by asset class and business category). Topics include PropTech and innovations in real estate, smart cities and urban design, affordable housing investments and development, resilient management in retail real estate, sustainable hotel development, and acquisitions and sustainable logistics real estate.

On the other hand, participants will learn how to integrate the different ESG aspects into the day-to-day decisions.

Our teaching methods include live case studies, group projects and discussions, and seminal lectures by well-known experts in the field.

What do you think, what are the most important real estate trends nowadays, and how the program covers them?

The real estate sector is an important part of the economy that represents a significant share of the GDP, varying between 10% and 30% across developed countries. This sector is now going through an unprecedented transformation phase, where environmental (E), social (S) and corporate governance (G) issues are shaping the way real estate companies are evolving into a new era. The programme integrates ESG into the different aspects covered by the courses. The programme also puts a special focus on the new real estate technologies that play a crucial role in implementing the ESG transformation of the real estate sector.

What is the most interesting part of the programme according to your opinion?

The most interesting part of this programme are the four field trips to Budapest, London, Madrid and Paris. Participants will have an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the different real estate asset classes and procedures, and the role that ESG plays nowadays in each of them. The field trips also provide participants with a valuable network and exposure to an international business context. Last but not least, the 50 hours of field trips will complement the online courses and case studies learned through the semester.

For whom do you recommend attending at the program?

Our teaching methodology is aimed at professionals with at least 5 years of working experience in the real estate industry (or proven an exceptional professional career performance) that want to deepen their understanding of the different coexisting parts of the real estate sector.
